This house belonged to the Granada Venegas family. From the original building, the large fortified tower has survived and the left side has suffered a series of constructions and redesigns around the large fortified tower. In the main façade, we can see a sword that touches with its point a heart, and its slogan: “el corazón manda” (“the heart leads”).
The most beautiful room of the house is the “Cuadra Dorada” (Golden Stable) that is located on top of the hall, with busts and relieves of Spanish kings and heroes. We should highlight the polychrome decoration of its ceiling. The Museum Archives of the Casa de los Tiros is dedicated to the Popular Art. The collection consists of pieces of Granada Popular Art from the XVII Century to the XIX: pictures, furniture, engravings, drawings, lithograph and a collection of photographs of the city and its monuments.
