Giralda

The tower is actually the old minaret of the Almohad Mosque of Seville, from the XII Century. It is 97.5 meters high and it was subsequently transformed into a Renaissance bell- tower.

It supposed a harmony miracle, due to the architecture of two different cultures that are separated by four Centuries, the Renaissance and the Almohad Culture, were mixed in this building.

Opening times

July and August: From 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The rest of the year, From Monday to Tuesday: From 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Sundays and Public Holidays: 2:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

The monument is closed: 1 and 6 January, 20 and 22 March, 26 May, 15 August and 8 and 25 December.



Tickets and prices

Only one ticket to the Cathedral and to the Giralda.

General Entrance Ticket: 7.50 €.

Reduced Price Entry: 2 € (pensioners, unemployed people, residents in Seville, and students, with ID).

Free Entry: Sundays, disabled people, unemployed people, children under 12 years old and groups, previously requested.
