They were built with the aim of defending one of the most used accesses to the old town of Valencia. It has two polygonal towers flanking the door with a keystone round arch. Each one has three floors completely vaulted and lower joined by a central body that is decorated in flamboyant Gothic style.
In 1937, the monumental stone staircase was built, which enlarged the building and was used in welcome parties.
