It is a Hebrew temple to which you access throught a narrow street called Los JudÃos (The Jews). It is a semi- hidden building, whose structure is not exposed to the exterior.
Firstly, we could find a small courtyard where there is a pond for ablutions. The oratory has a square floor and is covered by coffered ceilings, on its Eastern side a tabernacle is opened and is reserved to keep the Torá (divine teaching of the people from Israel).
The opposite side to the tabernacle presents a small niche with a polilobed and pointed arch, where the Santa Quiteria altarpiece was placed.
The decoration used plaster as main element. In the courtyard, an upper gallery has three small balconies with finely scalloped compound arches in which you arrive through a narrow street with the same name. It is decorated with Mudejar elements, using plaster as main element.
It is the only one that has survived in Andalusia and the most important one in Spain regarding inscriptions.
