It is located in middle of the Jewish quarter, the old synagogue was probably founded in the XIII Century and rebuilt in the XIV Century, when it became a Christian church, and was used as a refuge of penance for regretful women, destined in that way by the Cardinal SilÃceo.
Its beautiful construction reflects its whole History. Inside, it consists of five naves divided by 28 horseshoe arches over brick pillars painted with lime, where we should highlight its capitals with a decoration based on pineapples, larch coffered ceiling or Plateresque altars, among them the most important one is the one that belongs to the Berruguete school.
