Bilbao

Die Altstadt und Las Siete Calles sind der Ursprung von Bilbao, das einst einer der wichtigsten Handelshäfen der Halbinsel war. Die Kathedrale von Santiago und das Theater Arriaga sind zwei seiner bekanntesten Bauwerke. Bilbao bietet ein breites kulturelles Angebot, in dem das Guggenheim-Museum herausragt. Das Euskal Museoa ist sehr interessant, um die baskische Kultur kennenzulernen. Das Ensanche wurde zu Beginn des 19. Jahrhunderts auf der anderen Seite der Ría erbaut und beherbergt modernistische Architektur, die mit anderen Stilen vermischt ist. Das BBK-Festival ist eine weitere touristische Attraktion von Bilbao.
