Beaches in Castrillón

Arnao

Nestled in a hollow and sheltered, it is a sandy and pebble beach with good facilities and very popular with tourists.

Bahínas

Beautiful semi-urban beach with dark sand, pebbles, and moderate waves. Close to the town of Santa María del Mar. It offers an acceptable level of services and a medium degree of occupancy.

El Cordial / El Reguero

Isolated beach with low public attendance, golden sand, and strong waves, accessible on foot from Muinelles Beach at low tide, as well as from the coastal path on its west side. Risk of being isolated at high tide. No infrastructure available.

El Cuerno

Small shell-shaped beach made up of gravel and dark sand.

Munielles

Near the town of Bayas, it is a small beach with dark sand and moderate waves. It offers a medium level of services.

Playón de Bayas / El Sablón

This long beach divides the municipalities of Castrillón and Soto del Barco. It has a high ecological value due to its dune system, and its danger due to the strong waves it experiences is noteworthy.

Requexinos

Dark sandy beach with strong waves, adjacent to Playón de Bayas and surrounded by vegetation-covered hills. It has limited facilities.

Salinas

Extensive and touristy golden sandy beach, very popular with the public and equipped with all kinds of services, including a yacht club.

San Juan de Nieva / El Espartal

Beach within a special protection area due to the dune vegetation it has. It offers a good level of facilities and has a high influx of visitors.

Santa María del Mar

Sandy area formed at the mouth of the Ferrera river. It offers a good level of facilities and shows a high level of occupation.
