Beaches in L'Escala

Bol Roig
Natural cove formed by large pebbles.
Cala de la Creu
Sandy cove lacking infrastructures where the wind blows strongly and creates a heavy swell. It's very emblematic because we find boats and fishermen's huts.
Cala del Pedrigolet
Small pebble cove, secluded and sheltered from the tramontana. Very close to the Ruins of Empuries.

Cala Illa Mateua Beach located in L'Escala is a 170-metre-long pebble beach.
Cala Mar d'en Manassa
Urban beach with small pebbles, very exposed to storms, accessible via stairs.
Cala Montgó
Beach jointly owned by Torroella de Montgrí and L'Escala. It is located next to Montgó Mountain, from where the surrounding cliffs can be seen and where you can enjoy crystal-clear waters.
El Codolar / Cala del Contraban
Pebble beach accessed by a staircase from the Seafront (Calle Ll. Albert)
El Portitxol
Very touristy beach equipped with access for disabled people.
El Rec del Molí
Beach located on the outskirts of L'Escala, very popular with local residents.
El Riuet
Sandy beach located very close to the ruins of the ancient city of Ampurias, the main attraction of the area.
La Platja / Platja de les Barques
Beach located in the urban area of L'Escala, with a high occupancy rate and the services typical of an urban beach.
Les Muscleres / Del Convent / De Les Ruïnes
High quality beach very suitable for visiting with the family.
Moll Grec
Moll Grec Beach, located in L'Escala, is a sandy beach 500 metres long. It is named after the remnants of the ancient Greek/Phoenician dock, which are about 6 metres high.
Port d'en Perris
An urban beach composed of small stones, conditioned to be part of the urban nucleus in which it is located.
Riells
It is the most touristy beach of L'Escala, with quality services and disabled access.
Salpatx
Pebble beach, difficult to access, which is named after a boot-shaped islet in front of the beach.
