L'Estartit / Griells / La Pletera Beach

Urban beach from where you can see the Medes Islands, Underwater Natural Park, very interesting for diving.
Awarded in 2014 with the "Q" for Touristic Quality. At the old mouth of the River Ter, there are marshes that have been declared a Natural Park, forming part of the protected area "Aiguamolls de l'Empordà". It consists of three sectors (from north to south): the main or central beach (most urban), Griells beach and La Pletera beach (quieter stretch).

Beaches in Torroella de Montgrí

Mas Pinell

Large beach composed of coarse sand, with disabled access, a "chiringuito" on the beach itself, and nautical equipment rentals.

Cala Montgó

Beach jointly owned by Torroella de Montgrí and L'Escala. It is located next to Montgó Mountain, from where you can see the surrounding cliffs and enjoy crystal clear waters.
