Two unique and historic neighborhoods in the city of Granada are the Albayzín and Sacromonte. Both were built on hills neighboring the Alhambra and are declared World Heritage Sites by UNESCO.

Secondly, the Sacromonte, is the neighborhood where the gypsy population settled with the Moors after the Christian reconquest.
