One of the most impressive monuments to be found in Granada is the Cartuja Monastery. Away from the historic center, it is a jewel of baroque art in our country.
With an exuberant interior, where works by José de Mora, Sánchez Cotán or José Risueño are preserved.
Discover it with the company of an official guide. An artistic treasure that you would not expect to find behind the sober walls of this monastery.
Two unique monuments in the center of Granada are the Cathedral of the Incarnation and the adjoining Royal Chapel. Both were built by order of the Catholic Monarchs after the reconquest of the city of La Alhambra. The Cathedral is the first of Renaissance style in Spain and is a work of art inside and out, housing in its interior many works of the great baroque painter Alonso Cano.
No less important is the Royal Chapel, of Elizabethan Gothic style and where the Catholic Monarchs were buried along with their daughter Juana I and Felipe "el Hermoso". Its tombs are also an example of Renaissance funerary sculpture. In the Museum of the Royal Chapel are preserved artworks of the stature of Botticelli and Van der Weyden, which were part of the personal collection of the monarchs.
The Cathedral and the Royal Chapel are a marvel to visit with a private guide for you and your group.
