La Duquesa / Las Gaviotas Beach

Beach adjacent to Puerto Deportivo de La Duquesa, has been affected by the regression induced by the harbour.
Area of historical interest. There is a Roman site called "Entorno del Castillo de la Duquesa". The Castillo de la Duquesa, well-preserved, was built in 1767 during the reign of Carlos III to enhance the coast's defence against continuous pirate and corsair landings.

    Rock formation of special landscape interest and ecological richness, with clean waters suitable for spearfishing.
    Straight and long beach with gentle slopes perpendicular to the sea. It stretches from Cala de la Sardina to the Alcorrín stream.
    Straight beach with sandstone formations. Supported by two groups of rocky ground, there is a small cove called Cala de La Sardina.
