From the 16th century. Main Plateresque façade, with a curious figure of Saint Jerome wearing spectacles.
Isabelline style apse. It is declared a National Monument.
It is one of the jewels of Galician Gothic architecture. To the left of the south door is the sculpture of the Christ of the Good Journey. All the devotees come to this Christ to ask for protection on their upcoming trips. It was built by order of the Fishermen's Guild of Sailors. The creators are Joao Noble and Cornelius of Holland.
It has been a minor basilica since 1962, when it was granted the title by Pope John XXIII.
The west façade is the work of C. de Holanda, designed as an entrance-altarpiece with three tiers of profuse decoration.
The south façade features a stone cross, and the entrance opens under a semicircular arch, bordered by stone jambs and baroque decorations. Its interior comprises three naves separated by columns.
The altarpiece of the main altar was made of chestnut and walnut wood, dating from the late 19th and early 20th centuries, and is the work of a Santiago cabinetmaker and carver.
