Two unique and historic neighborhoods in the city of Granada are the Albayzín and Sacromonte. Both were built on hills neighboring the Alhambra and are declared World Heritage Sites by UNESCO.
The first one preserves much of the Muslim urbanism in the city, as well as buildings that intermingle with the local popular architecture. Secondly, the Sacromonte, is the neighborhood where the gypsy population settled with the Moors after the Christian reconquest. Here the sacred symbolism of this mountain is mixed with its gypsy and Flemish roots.
Do not miss this private tour with a guide for you through the Albayzín and Sacromonte.
