This year marks the centenary of the death of Antoni Gaudí, one of the greatest figures in world architecture. His style, combining Modernism with a unique imagination, is at the heart of Gaudí Year 2026, a cultural programme inviting visitors to rediscover his work – much of it declared a World Heritage Site – through activities, exhibitions and special experiences in the key places of his life and career.
Barcelona concentrates most of his most emblematic buildings: the Sagrada Familia, La Pedrera, Casa Batlló, Parc Güell, Palau Güell, Casa Vicens and Casa Calvet. The city has also been named UNESCO World Capital of Architecture, with a wide calendar of events in more than 75 museums, libraries, squares, markets and public spaces.
Beyond Barcelona, highlights include the Crypt of Colònia Güell in Santa Coloma de Cervelló, and the Artigas Gardens in La Pobla de Lillet.

The Cathedral of Palma de Mallorca also preserves Gaudí’s mark. His interventions brought more light into the church through stained glass and Gothic windows. A special exhibition will offer a deeper insight into his role in this monument.
