Granada Cathedral hosts the major exhibition “Kerygma: The Art of Evangelising”

5/7/2026 12:56:16 PM

On 8 May, the Granada Cathedral will open its doors to the exhibition “Kerygma: The Art of Evangelising”, an exceptional showcase bringing together more than one hundred works linked to the history and devotion of the city.

The initiative is part of two highly significant anniversaries: the 1st Centenary of the Royal Federation of Holy Week Brotherhoods and Fraternities and the 5th Centenary of Granada Cathedral.

The exhibition is one of the most important heritage and cultural events Granada has hosted in recent decades. The pieces, from thirty Holy Week brotherhoods as well as convents, parish churches and other religious sites, create a unique journey through the city’s history, Christian faith and sacred heritage over more than five centuries.

“Kerygma” is the first exhibition of this scale devoted entirely to sacred and devotional art from Granada. It occupies more than 2,000 square metres inside the Cathedral and offers the chance to admire works that rarely leave their original churches.

  • Exhibition dates: from 8 May to 28 November 2026
