Lugo annually commemorates its Roman origins at the Arde Lucus festival. The city retains many remains from that era, among which its city walls, declared a World Heritage Site, stand out. Within the historic centre they delimit, you can visit its cathedral or the Provincial Museum, located in the church and convent of the Franciscan Fathers. Other places of interest in Lugo include the chapel of San Roque or the Domus del Mitreo, the remains of a luxurious Roman house. The cuisine of Lugo is possibly the best in Galicia.
